Verbier Penthouse

This property is located in the popular mountainside town of Verbier in Switzerland. The family required a tranquil retreat, to escape their busy lives as hoteliers and where family time can be enjoyed with scenic views.

To reflect the surrounding local area, but also the eclectic style of the client, a broad range of luxurious materials were carefully selected for this project. From grey Italian marble, local fir tree wood, to bronze light switches and hand blown glass lighting fixtures. Truly a unique space!

The project required all areas of the Penthouse to be designed:

large, open-plan living and kitchen area leading onto a terrace and wellness area with alpine views
large master suite with ensuite and dressing rooms
children’s bedrooms and bathroom with bespoke built-in furniture
wrap-around balcony connecting all bedrooms to the terrace
large utility and boot room off the entrance hall
guest bathroom

Vaulted wooden ceilings meant that lighting was a very important topic to address. We created a lighting concept that would not only highlight the architectural features and create a beautiful ambience but also supply good task lighting for cooking, reading and working.

With two young children, the parents wanted high quality and durable furniture pieces and finishings that would last, without forfeiting comfort and style. The family were very keen to incorporate their family heirlooms that had been passed through generations and were consequently a key part to consider in this project.
